Summer Cooking for Summer Health

Jul 02, 2015 01:37AM
Greenshire Arts Consortium, in Quakertown, will host a summer series of healthy cooking classes, complete with fresh ingredients, food sampling and easy recipes, beginning this month. Tammy Westney, who holds a master’s degree in nutrition and integrative health, will focus on simple techniques to create a healthier eating pattern.

Westney, founder of Coffee Owl Nutrition LLC, says, “I am happy to offer classes that blend my passion for cooking with the science of nutrition. I remain dedicated to helping people improve the quality of their lives. We truly are what we eat, right down to our cells.”

Food preparation and recipes will focus on organic whole food, and when possible, locally grown. The classes will run on the second and fourth weeks of both July and August, with a choice of either day or evening classes.

Location: 3620 Sterner Mill Rd., Quakertown. For more information, call 215-538-0976 or visit GreenshireArts.org. July 2015.
