Doylestown Food Market Presents Final FED Talk

May 31, 2017 08:15AM
Doylestown Community Programs, the educational, nonprofit branch of Doylestown Food Market, presents the last talk of its FED Talks 2017 series, from 7 to 9 p.m., June 8, at Doylestown Mennonite Church. Connie Guerin, MA, MS, will present Mental Health Myths and Food Addiction.

Complimentary snacks will be provided as Guerin discusses the growing mental health epidemic and its connection to food addiction. Attendees will learn about the relationship between food and emotional states, the effect that the food industry has on mental health and how eating clean, natural food creates a sound mind and body.

“Studies show a balanced approach to mental health provides a dramatic increase in energy, better mood, decreased stress and an easing of physical symptoms,” says Guerin, whose presentation will include case studies revealing how clients have taken well-being into their own hands and the impact it has had on their lives.

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged; however, last-minute attendance is welcomed.

Cost: $5 for co-op members/owners, $8 for non-members. Location: 590 N. Broad St., Doylestown. To purchase tickets and for more information, call 215-348-4548, email [email protected] or visit Doylestown.coop/fed_talks_2017.
