Healthy Living Q&A Sessions at International School of Shiatsu

May 31, 2017 08:15AM
The International School of Shiatsu is holding bi-weekly Q&A sessions for anyone with questions about how to use shiatsu, health coaching and other holistic techniques for mental and physical betterment.

Held the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month in Pipersville, these informal meetings are open to anyone that is curious about making lifestyle changes. The meetings are freeform, where no question is “too small or too stupid,” says Shirley Scranta, the school’s director.

“It’s a chance to explore your options,” she explains. “The more questions you ask, the more informed you are to make decisions about your life.”

The International School of Shiatsu offers a variety of programs to help people better themselves. This includes guiding people to relieve physical maladies and addressing unhappiness or uncertainness in one’s life.

Along with shiatsu, a therapy using light, physical pressure to manipulate and correct one’s energy flow, the school offers everything from tai chi and energy exercises to gardening, cooking and holistic food shopping classes.

At the core of these services is the school’s reflective coaching, which begins at the Q&A sessions. Participants can ask any questions they want in order to find the programs and ideas they need for self improvement. From there, they can determine what they need to heal or grow.

“We look at the whole person to find the root of disharmony,” says Scranta, “and we help them look for better choices.”

Cost: $15. Location: 6055 Kellers Church Rd., Pipersville. For more information, call 215-766-2800 or visit Shiatsubo.com.
