Philadelphia’s Black Men’s Wellness Day will return from 7 a.m. to noon on June 6 at Temple University, bringing together healthcare providers, community leaders and families for a free day dedicated to prevention, education and wellness. Organized by the African American Male Wellness Agency, the event continues its mission of improving health outcomes and encouraging Black men to take a proactive role in their health.
The 2025 Philadelphia event welcomed more than 3,000 attendees and offered hundreds of free screenings, including blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, prostate and mental health checks. According to the organization’s impact report, more than 270 men were identified with elevated or high blood pressure, reinforcing the need for accessible community-based health care and early intervention.
This year’s event will again feature free health screenings, fitness activities, wellness resources, family-friendly programming and opportunities to connect with local healthcare organizations and advocates. Beyond physical health, the event focuses on building community, reducing stigma around wellness conversations and creating greater awareness around preventable health disparities.
Location: 1816 N. 15th St., Philadelphia. For more information, visit www.AAWellness.org.
