Greenshire Institute for Holistic Studies will host its Peace Festival on September 13, from 1 to 6 p.m., at its grounds in Quakertown, Upper Bucks. The event focuses on promoting peace within oneself, families, communities and the world. Activities will include a Peace Pole ceremony, gong sound bath, labyrinth, artists, vendors, giveaways, raffle, potluck, chair massage and presentations.

Central to the gathering will be the rededication of Greenshire’s Peace Pole, erected in 2006. The pole bears the message “May peace prevail on Earth” in seven languages.

Greenshire is dedicated to helping people explore new horizons as they revitalize the quality of their lives—body, mind and spirit. The nonprofit offers such services as spiritual studies, support for life’s transitions, yoga, astrology, reiki, massage, Craniosacral Therapy and intuitive shamanic coaching. The Greenshire grounds feature meditation gardens, a sacred circle, peace pole garden, wooded trails, and vegetable and flower gardens.

Admission: $20 for individuals, $30 for families. Parking is available at Woodlands, located at 5724 Clymer Rd., with shuttle service to and from Greenshire, located at 3620 Sterner Mill Rd.
