Diana T. Moore, Ph.D., an ayurvedic yoga specialist, provides one-on-one and small group ayurvedic counseling in person or via Skype, designed to help clients achieve optimal health by improving their lifestyles.

Moore begins by taking a detailed history and performing a mind-body assessment  in alignment with ayurvedic practices to discern a person’s natural constitution and any imbalances within it. A change in diet and/or the addition of simple practices, such as adding yoga postures or breathing exercises to a daily routine, may be suggested. Moore offers nutritional counseling along with ayurveda.

In addition, Moore is booking dates now for Discovering Your Dosha, a workshop designed for small group parties, clubs, conferences or expos. Participants in the workshop complete a questionnaire and engage in discussions about simple lifestyle changes that help bring the body back into balance.

Ayurveda, a 5,000-year-old traditional system of medicine that originated in India, deals with the science of living. Each person’s constitution is a unique combination of three doshas, or fundamental energies––Vata, Pitta and Kapha––that are based on the Earth elements of fire, air, water, earth and ether. “Ayurveda is also considered the sister science to yoga, as they are both concerned with the development of the soul, and as a means to that end, the proper care of the body and the mind,” explains Moore. “When doshas are brought into balance, people achieve health and well-being.”

“The mind-body connection is extremely potent and can affect many positive changes in life when practiced and applied regularly,” shares Moore. “My calling includes helping all people from children to adults, and seniors to mothers-to-be, to reclaim their well-being and embrace life to its fullest in harmony with mind, body and spirit.”

A single ayurvedic counseling session is $80, and a package of four sessions is $300 ($75 each). Call now for special New Year’s pricing of $280 for four sessions ($70 each) if booked before January 31. For more information, call 267-753-9262, email [email protected] or visit
